Council Mergers

Why is this taking so long? I know, because politicians are like turkeys and reducing the number of councils is like Christmas. Turkeys would not vote for Christmas would they?

Liebour, Labour can't reduce the number of ways to socially engineer their utopian grand scale Y Fro Cymraeg so they are seriously dragging their heels.

Conservative won't challenge the status quo for fear of losing ground, politically speaking, losing votes, losing followers, well just losing in general really.

Liberals are just middle of the road, indecisive drones.

That other party of Wales is led by a once member of the international socialist movement who claims to not campaign on the party's core value! How on earth can she be trusted?

The only way to reduce councils is to give a free vote, a referendum, claims Janet Finch-Saunders. Yet, once again what council employee is going to vote for their own demise? Unless, like the armed forces, they will not be allowed to vote!!

A place the size of Wales, 3,000,000 does not need 22 councils.

Auckland, 1,500,000 people has one council - just saying.

There are 7 preserved counties. There are a 7 health boards. 7 is a lucky number.
